WHITE FISH TYPES FOR AIR FRYING
There are numerous options available for air-frying white fish. Cod, halibut, haddock, sea bass, premium tilapia, and even sole are all suitable. Because the thickness of each variety of white fish varies, you will need to modify the cooking times according to the fish you select. Check the fish and use our standard air fry time. Make a hole in the filet’s middle with a fork. It’s cooked if it flakes readily. Alternatively, you can cook it to your own taste.
Ingredients for AIR FRYER WHITE FISH WITH GARLIC AND LEMON PEPPER
- white fish, divided into 2 filets–6 oz each.
- Five milliliters (2.5 tsp) of garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) of seasoning with lemon pepper
- Half a teaspoon (2.5 ml) onion powder,
- sea salt or kosher salt optional,
- freshly cracked black pepper to taste,
- and freshly chopped parsley and lemon wedges to taste
Directions for AIR FRYER WHITE FISH WITH GARLIC AND LEMON PEPPER
- After washing, pat the fish filets dry. Apply an olive oil spray or coat, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon pepper, and/or onion powder. Do the same on the other side.
- Place a perforated parchment paper or silicone liner inside the air fryer’s base. Spray the lining very lightly. To ensure that the fish does not stick, adequately oil spray the base of the air fryer basket if you are not using a liner.
- Position the fish over the liner. Place some lemon slices next the fish.
- Fish should be able to be flaked with a fork after 6 to 12 minutes of air fry time at 360°F/182°C. The timing will vary depending on the thickness, temperature, and personal preference of the filets
- Serve heated with the toasted lemon wedges and garnish with chopped parsley. If necessary, add more seasonings or salt and pepper.
