Sugar-Free Chocolate Apple Cake: A Healthy Weight Loss Dessert
Ingredients
For the Cake:
- Sweet apples: 4 medium (about 600g | 21oz)
- Eggs: 4 large
- Unsweetened cocoa powder: 5 tablespoons (35g | 1.2oz)
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil: for greasing the mold
For the Accompanying Mango Tea:
- Lemon: 2 wedges
- Freeze-dried mango: 1 tablespoon
- Black loose-leaf tea: 2 tablespoons
- Water: 1 liter (4 cups), boiling
Instructions
Cake Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180°C (360°F)
Prepare the apples:
- Remove cores
- Peel completely
- Cut into medium-sized pieces
Make the batter:
Place apple pieces in a blender
Blend until smooth
Add eggs
Add cocoa powder
Add baking powder
Blend until completely combined
Baking:
Grease a silicone loaf pan with olive oil
Pour batter into prepared pan
Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes
