Ingredients (1–2 servings)
3–4 scoops strawberry ice cream
½ cup fresh strawberries (halved)
¼ cup strawberry sauce or jam (slightly warmed)
1–2 waffle cones or wafer biscuits (broken into pieces)
Whipped cream (optional)
Crushed nuts or cookie crumbs (optional)
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions

Wash and hull strawberries. Keep some whole for garnish and slice the rest.
For extra flavor, toss strawberries with a little sugar and let sit 5 minutes to release juices.

Add one scoop of ice cream at the bottom of a dessert glass or bowl.
Spoon strawberry sauce and a few strawberry slices over it.
Add more scoops of ice cream and repeat with sauce and fruit.

Garnish with fresh strawberries, crushed wafers or nuts, and a swirl of whipped cream if you like.
Dust lightly with powdered sugar for a pretty finish.

For a creamier base, drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the scoops.
Swap strawberry sauce with raspberry or mixed berry syrup for variation.
Freeze your glass before assembling to keep the sundae cold longer.
