INGREDIENTS FOR SAVOR THE TASTE OF SOUTHERN STYLE DEVILED EGGS :

  • 6 Large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS FOR SAVOR THE TASTE OF SOUTHERN STYLE DEVILED EGGS :

  1. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat, cover with a lid, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes.
  2. Place the eggs in a dish of ice water to chill after 12 minutes. Peel and cut the eggs in half lengthwise once they have cooled.
  3. Carefully remove the yolks from the egg halves and place them in a separate bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork.
  4. Add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
