A CLASSIC RECIPE WITH A SOUTHERN TWIST

INGREDIENTS FOR SAVOR THE TASTE OF SOUTHERN STYLE DEVILED EGGS :
- 6 Large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Paprika, for garnish
- Chopped chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS FOR SAVOR THE TASTE OF SOUTHERN STYLE DEVILED EGGS :
- Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat, cover with a lid, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes.
- Place the eggs in a dish of ice water to chill after 12 minutes. Peel and cut the eggs in half lengthwise once they have cooled.
- Carefully remove the yolks from the egg halves and place them in a separate bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork.
- Add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
- Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
