Recipe for Savory Oat and Spinach Patties:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 egg

  • A handful of spinach (roughly chopped)

  • 1/2 cup green onions (chopped)

  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (optional)

  • 1/4 cup flour (for binding, optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:

    • In a bowl, add the oats, egg, spinach, green onions, and grated cheese (if using). Season with salt and pepper.

    • Mix everything together until fully combined. If the mixture feels too wet, add a small amount of flour to help bind it together.

  2. Form the Patties:

    • Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into patties using your hands. You can make them as thick or thin as you like.

  3. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat some olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the patties in the pan.

    • Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
