Ingredients

2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper to taste

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
Instructions

Preheat Oven/Smoker

Heat oven to 275°F (135°C).

Or preheat your smoker if using one.

Season the Beef

In a large bowl, toss beef cubes with olive oil.

Mix in brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until coated.

Spread beef cubes on a baking sheet lined with foil.

Cover tightly with foil and bake (or smoke) for 2–2.5 hours, until tender.

Sauce & Caramelize

Remove from oven/smoker. Drain excess fat.

Toss beef with BBQ sauce.

Return uncovered to oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until caramelized and sticky.
