Ingredients

For the Dough:

    • 1 cup warm water (240ml)
    • 1 cup warm milk (240ml)

 

    • 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast (7g or 1 packet)
    • 2 tbsp sugar (25g)
    • 1 tsp salt (5g)

 

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (30ml)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (500g)

For the Filling:

 

  • 200g mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

    • Water or milk (for brushing)

Directions

Prepare the Dough:

  • Activate the Yeast:
      • In a large bowl, mix warm water, warm milk, dry yeast, and sugar.

     

    • Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix the Ingredients:
      • Add salt and oil to the yeast mixture.

     

    • Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition until a dough forms.
  • Knead the Dough:

    • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  • Shape the Dough:
      • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air.

     

      • Divide the dough into 12-15 equal portions.
