How to Make Mini Cherry Cheese Danishes:
- Preheat & Prepare Dough: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the crescent roll dough and, with a knife, carefully cut it into 15 equal slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with greased parchment paper. With your fingers or a small measuring cup, press each slice to create a small, flat circle with a raised edge to hold the filling.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, use a hand beater to mix the softened cream cheese, ¾ cup powdered sugar, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Assemble Danishes: Carefully add a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each dough circle. Add about 4 to 5 cherries from the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the Glaze: Let the danishes cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. While they cool, whisk the ⅓ cup powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl until a thick, smooth mixture forms.
- Glaze & Serve: Once the danishes have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top of each one. Serve warm and enjoy!
