Mango Banana Smoothie Recipe

Mango Banana Smoothie Recipe

This recipe is for the creamy smoothie on the right side of the image.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or a non-dairy alternative like coconut or almond yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy, almond, or oat milk all work well)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to your desired sweetness)
  • 4-6 ice cubes (or more if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Make sure your mango and banana are ripe for the best flavor and sweetness.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add the chopped mango, sliced banana, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey/maple syrup (if using) into a blender.
  3. Add Ice: Toss in the ice cubes.
  4. Blend: Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. There should be no chunks of fruit remaining. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula to ensure everything is incorporated.
  5. Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, and blend again. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a bit more frozen fruit and blend.
  6. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.

  2. Start with Mango: In a clear glass, add a layer of the diced mango cubes at the bottom.
  3. Add Yogurt: Carefully spoon a layer of Greek yogurt on top of the mango.
  4. Add Banana: Arrange a layer of banana slices on top of the yogurt.
  5. Repeat: Repeat the layers: another layer of mango, followed by yogurt, and then bananas, until you reach the top of the glass.
