Italian Stromboli Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tube of Pillsbury pizza crust
- 8 slices of deli ham
- 10 slices of Genoa salami
- 12 slices of sandwich pepperoni
- 8 slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese (or shredded cheese)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Layer the Fillings:
- Start by laying down provolone or mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
- Add deli ham, salami, and pepperoni in layers on top of the cheese.
- Roll It Up:
- Carefully roll the dough tightly from one side to the other (like a jelly roll).
- Pinch the edges and sides to seal the filling inside.
- Brush & Season:
- Beat 1 egg and brush it over the rolled dough for a golden crust.
- Mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese and brush it over the top for extra flavor.
- Bake:
- Place the Stromboli on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Cool & Serve:
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping!
