Holiday Herb Flatbreads with Cheese Ball Spread & Pecan Glaze
For the cheese ball spread:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 oz shredded cheddar or Gruyère
2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, chives)
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For the flatbreads:
2–3 flatbreads or naan
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
¼ cup chopped pecans, toasted
Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
Prepare the cheese spread:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, chopped herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Assemble the flatbreads:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush flatbreads lightly with olive oil. Spread a generous layer of cheese mixture over each flatbread.
Bake:
Place flatbreads on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly.
Add glaze & garnish:
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and sprinkle toasted pecans on top. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Serve:
Slice into portions and serve warm as an appetizer, snack, or festive side dish.
