Garlic Butter Roasted Chicken with Honey-Glazed Carrots & Green Beans

A wholesome and flavor-packed dinner that looks gourmet but is surprisingly simple! Juicy, golden roasted chicken brushed with garlic butter, sweet honey-glazed carrots, and crisp-tender green beans — all made with everyday ingredients and ready in under an hour.


Ingredients

For the Roasted Chicken:

  • 1 whole chicken breast or ½ chicken (about 500–700 g)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Lemon wedge, for serving

For the Honey-Glazed Carrots:

  • 1 cup baby carrots

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

For the Sautéed Green Beans:

  • 1 cup fresh green beans

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Pinch of salt and pepper


Instructions

1. Roast the Chicken

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

  • Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.

  • Rub it generously with melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  • Place the chicken on a baking tray lined with foil or parchment.

  • Roast for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and juices run clear.

  • Squeeze over a lemon wedge before serving for a bright finish.


2. Make the Honey-Glazed Carrots

  • In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.

  • Stir in 1 tbsp honey and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  • Add baby carrots and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and glossy (about 8–10 minutes).

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

3. Sauté the Green Beans

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add green beans, salt, and pepper; cook for 5–7 minutes until crisp-tender and vibrant green.


4. Serve

  • Arrange the roasted chicken on a plate with a side of honey-glazed carrots and sautéed green beans.
