Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta Recipe

  • 16 oz. penne pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dry parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 medium-sized bell pepper
  • 4 oz. diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese


  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, dry parsley, paprika, and Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until they are browned and fully cooked, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until they become tender.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Add cream cheese and chicken bouillon. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
  7. Season the sauce with Cajun seasoning to taste.
  8. Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips and add it back to the skillet.
  9. Finally, stir in the cooked penne pasta and parmesan cheese. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
