Cinnamon Roll Cake Recipe
Ingredients
For the Cake:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake Batter
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
4. Stir in the melted butter until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
2. Make the Cinnamon Swirl
1. In a separate bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until combined.
2. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the cake batter.
3. Using a knife, swirl the cinnamon filling into the batter to create a marbled effect.
3. Bake the Cake
1. Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Prepare the Glaze
1. While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
5. Glaze and Serve
1. Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
2. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm cake.
3. Slice and serve warm for the best taste!
