Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos
My husband would love these! He loves stuffed jalapeno’s! These I could totally get behind!
Second time I converted these into dinners by using poblano peppers (which I pre-roasted a bit first to obtain the correct end texture) and adjusting the ratio of chicken to cheese to minimize the richness a bit. Will definitely make these again. The family had a great time with this. We succeeded twice.
Once following the recipe exactly, and again with a few modifications. For us, the original was a little too soggy, in my opinion.
Ingredients for chicken stuffed jalapenos:
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 tablespoons salsa
- 1 ½ teaspoons cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 12 jalapenos, halved lengthwise & seeded
- Chili powder, for garnish.
How to Prepare Stuffed Jalapenos with Chicken:
What’s needed to prepare stuffed chicken?
Step one
- 4 ounces of room temperature cream cheese Initially,
- Adjust the oven temperature to 400 degrees and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
Step Two:
- Combine the cream cheese, cheddar, salsa, cumin, salt, pepper, and chicken in a small bowl and mix thoroughly.
Step three
Put filling into each half of a jalapeño. Add some chili powder.
Step four
Bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes.
