Ingredients
450g minced chicken
1/2 cup (disposable paper cup size) bread crumbs
1/4 cup (disposable paper cup size) grated onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg
olive oil, for cooking
For the tzatziki sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove moisture
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper ② In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, grated onion, chopped garlic, chopped parsley , chopped mint, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, black pepper and eggs. Stir until well combined. Shape the mixture into small meatballs about 5cm in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
③ Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked and lightly browned.
④While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill salt and pepper. Stir until combined.
⑤ Serve the Greek chicken meatballs with the tzatziki sauce while they are still hot, then eat them as a dip, they are so delicious with rice
