Cheesy Garlic Cruffins – Fluffy, Buttery, and Loaded with Cheese!

Flaky layers of puff pastry (or soft homemade dough) swirled with garlic butter and three cheeses… baked until golden, then brushed with even more garlicky goodness.

✨ Ingredients: (Yields 8–10 cruffins)
For the Dough (or use 2 sheets puff pastry):

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ¾ cup warm milk

  • ¼ cup warm water

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

Garlic Butter Filling:

  • 4 tbsp butter, softened

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp parsley (plus more for garnish)

  • ½ cup mozzarella

  • ½ cup cheddar

  • ¼ cup parmesan

  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions:
1️⃣ Make dough (skip if using puff pastry): Mix flour, sugar, salt, yeast → add milk, water, egg → knead until smooth → rise 1 hr.
2️⃣ Mix garlic butter ingredients in a bowl.
3️⃣ Roll dough to 12×18” → spread garlic butter → sprinkle cheeses → roll into a log.
4️⃣ Slice log lengthwise → roll each half into a spiral (cut side out) → place in muffin tin.
5️⃣ Rise 30 mins (only if homemade dough).
6️⃣ Bake at 375°F / 190°C for 20–25 mins until golden.
7️⃣ Brush with garlic butter, sprinkle parsley & parmesan.


Tip: These taste even better warm with marinara for dipping!
