Butternut Squash, Feta, and Sage Tart
Ingredients:
- 1 small butternut squash (peeled and cubed)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss the cubed butternut squash with olive oil, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until tender.
- Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet.
- Once the squash is roasted, spread it evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese and chopped sage over the squash.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
Serve warm as a savory snack or side dish.
