This cake is naturally sweet, wholesome, and unbelievably soft. Made with bananas, apples, oats, and no fuss — it’s a family-favorite you can bake anytime. Perfect with tea, coffee, or as a healthy breakfast slice!

Dry Ingredients:

2 cups rolled oats (or oat flour)

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp cinnamon

Pinch of salt
Wet Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas, mashed
-
1 medium apple, grated
-
2 eggs
-
¼ cup oil (olive or vegetable)

¼ cup honey or sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
½ cup milk (or any plant milk)
Optional Add-ins:

¼ cup chopped walnuts

¼ cup raisins
-
Extra apple slices for topping
Instructions:
1. Prepare the batter

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease or line a 20 cm (8-inch) square or round baking pan.

In a bowl, mix oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk bananas, eggs, oil, honey/sugar, vanilla, and milk.

Add the grated apple to the wet mixture.

Combine wet + dry ingredients.

Fold in walnuts or raisins if using.
2. Bake

Pour batter into the pan and spread evenly.

Top with thin apple slices (optional).

Bake 30–35 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
3. Cool & Serve
Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes. Slice and enjoy warm or room temperature.
