Baked Pears with Brie, Walnuts, and Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou work best)
  • 4 oz (115 g) Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries (or fresh if available)
  • 1 tbsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pears

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice pears in half lengthwise.
  • Scoop out the core and seeds with a spoon or melon baller, creating a small well in each half.

2. Assemble Filling

  • Place pears cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with a little cinnamon.
  • Fill each well with cubes of Brie, chopped walnuts, and cranberries.
  • Drizzle with honey.

3. Bake

  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, until pears are tender and Brie is melted.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

4. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs if desired.
  • Drizzle with extra honey before serving warm.
