Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes (about 500g)

  • 2 tbsp cornflour (or rice flour for extra crispiness)

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika or red chili powder (adjust for kids)

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander or parsley

  • Oil for deep frying or shallow frying


‍ Instructions:

  1. Boil the potatoes

    • Wash and peel potatoes.

    • Cut into chunks and boil until just tender (not mushy).

    • Drain water completely.

  2. Mash & season

    • In a large bowl, mash the potatoes until smooth.

    • Add cornflour, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, salt, and chopped coriander.

    • Mix well until a soft dough forms.

  3. Shape the snacks

    • Take small portions and shape them into nuggets, sticks, balls, or patties (kids love fun shapes).

  4. Fry until golden

    • Heat oil in a deep pan.

    • Fry shaped potato snacks on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.

    • Drain on paper towels.

  5. Serve hot & yummy

Tips:

  • For extra crunch, coat the shaped potato balls in breadcrumbs before frying.
