Would you Eat Banana Chocolate Heaven Roll

Ingredients:
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the cream)
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for the cream)
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs, separated
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup cocoa powder
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the batter)
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 2 ripe bananas, sliced
– 1 cup chocolate ganache
– Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C) and line a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until it becomes thick and pale.

3. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

4. In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks develop.

5. Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the egg yolk mixture. Then fold in the flour mixture until combined. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched. Immediately invert the cake onto a clean towel dusted with powdered sugar. Remove the parchment paper, and roll the cake up in the towel. Allow it to cool completely.

7. Once cooled, unroll the cake gently. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the cake and layer banana slices on top. Roll the cake up once more.

8. Pour the chocolate ganache over the roll. Use a fork to create a ripple effect in the ganache, making wavy lines.

9. To achieve a beautiful texture, wait until the ganache starts to set slightly. It should still be pliable but not runny.

10. Gently drag a fork or a cake comb through the ganache from one end of the roll to the other to create delicate waves.

11. Finish with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings for garnish. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before serving.
