Two-Layer Custard & Jelly Cups Recipe

Ingredients

For the Custard Layer (bottom yellow layer):

  • 3 cups milk

  • 4 tbsp custard powder (vanilla flavor)

  • 4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)

For the Jelly Layer (top pink layer):

  • 1 packet strawberry-flavored jelly (or any flavor you like)

  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Custard Layer:

    • Mix custard powder with ½ cup cold milk until smooth.

    • Heat remaining 2½ cups milk in a pan. Add sugar and bring to a gentle boil.

    • Slowly add the custard mixture while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

    • Cook on medium heat for 3–4 minutes until thick.

    • Pour hot custard into small cups, filling halfway. Let them cool and set slightly at room temperature, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare the Jelly Layer:

    • In a separate pan, boil 2 cups water.

    • Remove from heat, add jelly powder, and stir until completely dissolved.

    • Let the mixture cool slightly (not too hot or it will melt the custard).

  3. Assemble Layers:

    • Take the chilled custard cups out of the fridge.

    • Gently pour the lukewarm jelly mixture over the custard layer.

    • Refrigerate again for at least 1–2 hours until jelly is fully set.

  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Once set, your beautiful two-layer dessert is ready to serve chilled.
