Crispy, seasoned fries served with a creamy, cheesy nacho sauce. Spicy, salty, and downright addictive—just like the fast-food favorite.
Ingredients
For the fries:
1 (28 oz) bag frozen French fries (crinkle-cut or straight cut)
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil (for tossing)
For the nacho cheese sauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk (warm)
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (mild or sharp)
½ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp cumin
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt, to taste
Instructions
Bake fries: Preheat oven according to package directions. Toss frozen fries with oil and seasoning mix (paprika, chili powder, garlic, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper). Spread evenly on a baking sheet and bake until crispy and golden, flipping once.
Make cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in cheese until melted. Add chili powder, cumin, cayenne, and salt to taste.
Serve: Plate fries, drizzle with nacho cheese, and serve immediately.
