Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)

2/3 cup sugar (divided)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions:

Prep the strawberries

In a bowl, mix chopped strawberries with 1/3 cup sugar and lemon juice.

Let sit for 20–30 mins until juicy, then mash lightly or blend for a smoother texture.

Mix the base

In another bowl, whisk together cream, milk, the remaining 1/3 cup sugar, and vanilla (if using).

Stir in the strawberry mixture.
