 Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

✅ Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)

  • 2/3 cup sugar (divided)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

 Instructions:

  1. Prep the strawberries

    • In a bowl, mix chopped strawberries with 1/3 cup sugar and lemon juice.

    • Let sit for 20–30 mins until juicy, then mash lightly or blend for a smoother texture.

  2. Mix the base

    • In another bowl, whisk together cream, milk, the remaining 1/3 cup sugar, and vanilla (if using).

    • Stir in the strawberry mixture.

  3. Chill the mix

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight).

  4. Churn or freeze

    • With Ice Cream Maker: Pour into machine and churn per instructions (20–25 mins). Freeze until firm.

    • No Machine: Pour into a shallow container, freeze for 1 hour. Stir well with a fork or hand mixer. Repeat every 30 mins for 3–4 hours.

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

 Instructions:

  1. Mix the base

    • In a bowl, whisk together cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla until sugar dissolves completely.

  2. Chill

    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) for best flavor and texture.

  3. Churn or freeze

    • With Ice Cream Maker: Churn for 20–25 mins. Transfer to a container and freeze.

    • No Machine: Same method as above — freeze and stir every 30 mins until smooth and creamy.
