Protein-Packed Breakfast Toast
A nutritious and delicious way to start your day!
Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole-grain bread
- 1/2 avocado, sliced or mashed
- 2 tbsp hummus
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce (optional)
Step by Step:
Toast the Bread:
Lightly toast the whole-grain bread until golden brown.
Prepare the Avocado & Hummus Toast:
Spread hummus on one slice and top with avocado slices.
Cook the Eggs:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Crack the eggs and cook to your preference (scrambled or fried). Season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Plate:
Top the second slice of toast with mashed avocado and scrambled eggs.
Serve with cherry tomatoes on the side.
Garnish & Serve:
Drizzle with hot sauce if desired and enjoy!
