Oreo Ferrero Rocher Cake
Ingredients :
**For the cake :**
– 200g of plain flour
– 50g cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 200g of granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 240ml of whole milk
– 120ml of vegetable oil
– 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
– 240ml of boiling water
**For the Oreo buttercream :**
– 250g unsalted butter, softened
– 500g of icing sugar
– 100g Oreo cookies, finely crushed
– 2-3 tablespoons of whole milk
**For the Ferrero Rocher ganache :**
– 200g of chopped dark chocolate
– 200ml double cream
– 12 chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolate
**For decoration :**
– 8-10 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
– 8-10 biscuits Oreo
– Chocolate chips (optional)
#### Instructions :
1. **Preheat the oven :**
– Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line three 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
2. **Prepare the cake batter :**
– In a large bowl, sift together plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
– In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract until well combined.
– Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
– Slowly add boiling water to the dough, mixing on low speed until it is soft. The dough will be thin.
3. **Bakes cakes :**
– Divide batter evenly between prepared cake pans.
– Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpaste inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
– Let cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wallets to cool completely.
4. **Makes the Oreo buttercream :**
– In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
– Gradually add the icing sugar, beating until smooth and fluffy.
– Whisk in crushed Oreo cookies and add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.
5. **Prepare the Ferrero Rocher ganache :**
– Place the chopped dark chocolate in an anti-heat bowl.
– In a small saucepan, heat the double cream until it simmers.
– Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.
-Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth. Let cool slightly before using.
6. **Puts cake together :**
– Place a layer of cake on a serving plate and spread a layer of Oreo buttercream on top.
– Sprinkle chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates over the buttercream.
– Repeat with the second layer of cake, more buttercream and more chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates.
– Place the last layer of cake on it.
7. **Decorating a cake :**
-Spread the rest of the Oreo buttercream on top and sides of the cake.
– Pour Ferrero Rocher ganache over the top, allowing it to drip on the sides.
– Decorate with whole Ferrero Rocher chocolates, Oreo cookies and chocolate chips if desired.
8. ** To Serve :**
– Let the cake refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
