Mini Cheese Börek

Here’s a minimal, single-portion cheese börek recipe — perfect if you just want to make 2–3 small böreks or one personal-sized one:

Mini Cheese Börek

 

Ingredients:

1 sheet of phyllo or yufka (cut in half if large)

50g feta cheese (about 3 tbsp)

1 tsp chopped parsley (optional)

1 tsp yogurt or milk

1 tsp olive oil or melted butter

1 egg yolk (optional — for brushing

Instructions:

1. Prepare the filling:

Mix the crumbled feta with parsley.

2. Assemble:

Lightly brush the phyllo/yufka with the yogurt + oil mixture.

Place the filling on one end and roll into a small log or triangle.

Seal the edge with a bit of water.

3. Cook:

To Bake: Brush with egg yolk if you like, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden.

To Fry: Shallow fry in a little oil on medium heat until crispy and golden on all sides.
