Mille-Feuille Creamy Dessert Delight pasty Recipe
This classic French treat, called a mille-feuille or Napoleon pastry, is made by layering crispy puff pastry with rich cream and covering it with a sweet glaze. It’s ideal for treating yourself or on special occasions!
Components:
Regarding Puff Pastry:
- Thawed two sheets from one box of frozen puff pastry for the cream filling
- Two cups of heavy cream
- One cup of sugar Powder
- one tsp vanilla essence
- two tsp cornstarch
Regarding the Glaze:
- One cup of sugar powder
- two to three teaspoons of milk
- One tsp vanilla Essence
- melted chocolate or cocoa powder are optional for decorating.
Guidelines:
Get the puff pastry ready:
Set oven temperature to 400°F, or 200°C. To smooth out any wrinkles, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a surface dusted with flour. Divide each page into approximately 3×5-inch rectangles. Arrange the rectangles onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. To stop the surface from blowing up excessively when baking, prick it with a fork.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the crust is flaky and golden. Let cool fully.
Prepare the Cream Filling:
Beat the heavy cream in a mixing basin until soft peaks form. Whip in the cornstarch, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar gradually until firm peaks form. For ease of use, place the whipped cream in a zip-top bag or piping bag with the corner cut off.
To assemble the mille-feuille, use one rectangle of puff pastry as the base on a serving tray. Cover the pastry with a layer of the cream filling piped in. Press carefully to cover with another rectangle of puff pastry. Proceed with an additional layer of cream and place a final layer of pastry on top.
Get the glaze ready:
Blend the milk, vanilla essence, and powdered sugar in a bowl until smooth. If necessary, thin the consistency with additional milk. Over the pastry’s top layer, drizzle the glaze. Adorn: Not required: For decorating, sprinkle with cocoa powder or pour melted chocolate over the glaze.
To serve,
let the mille-feuille sit in the fridge for approximately half an hour. Slice, then savor your delectable, creamy treat!
