Mama’s Banana Pudding
A rich and creamy no-bake dessert with layers of pudding, bananas, and cookies—Paula Deen’s modern twist on a Southern classic.
Ingredients:
1 box (12 oz) vanilla wafers
4 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions:
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk and mix well.
In another bowl, whisk pudding mix with milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
Fold pudding into the cream cheese mixture. Gently fold in whipped topping until fully combined.
In a 9×13-inch dish, layer half the vanilla wafers, half the bananas, and half the pudding mixture. Repeat layers.
Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serve cold with extra wafers or whipped topping if desired.
