Lemon Ginger Turmeric Detox Tea
Ingredients:

1-2 lemons (sliced)

1-2 inches of fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced)

1-2 cups of water
-
1 tsp turmeric powder (or 1-2 inches of fresh turmeric root if available)

Honey to taste (optional)

A pinch of black pepper (helps in absorption of curcumin from turmeric)
Instructions:

Prepare Ingredients:

Slice the lemons and ginger.

If using fresh turmeric, slice it too.

Boil:
-
In a saucepan, add 2 cups of water.

Add the sliced ginger, turmeric (powder or fresh), and lemon slices.

Add a pinch of black pepper.
-
Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

Strain and Serve:

Remove from heat.

Strain the tea into a mug or glass.

Add honey if desired (do this when the drink has cooled slightly to preserve honey’s nutrients).

Optional Cold Version:

Let the tea cool completely.

Pour into a glass with some ice.

Add fresh lemon juice if you want a stronger citrus flavor.
