Homemade Pancakes
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Tip: Before starting, ensure you have all ingredients ready and that your pan is properly preheated. A smooth batter and small bubbles on the surface of the pancakes will let you know it’s time to flip.
Preparation:
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the egg, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until blended.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined. A few small lumps are fine—don’t overmix.
Heat a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
Ladle small portions of batter onto the pan to form pancakes. Cook until bubbles form on top and the edges look set and golden.
Flip and cook the other side until evenly golden brown.
Continue with the remaining batter.
Serving:
Enjoy your pancakes warm with maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, or your favorite toppings.
