Healthy Baked Apple Oat Snack (5-Minute Prep!)
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
⅔ cup warm milk (150 ml)
2 apples (grated or finely chopped)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine (melted)
2 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts or almonds
Vegetable oil (for greasing)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a small baking dish or muffin tin with vegetable oil.
Soak the oats: In a mixing bowl, pour the warm milk over the rolled oats. Let them soak for about 5 minutes to soften.
Mix wet ingredients: Add the eggs, melted butter/margarine, and vanilla extract to the oat mixture. Stir well.
Add apples & nuts: Mix in the grated apples and chopped walnuts or almonds. Stir everything together until well combined.
Bake: Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish or muffin tin. Spread evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes (or about 15–20 minutes if using muffin tins), until golden on top and firm in the middle.
Cool & enjoy: Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or cold!
