Garlic, Chicken & Herb White Pizza Recipe
A rich and flavorful white pizza topped with tender chicken, roasted garlic, and fresh herbs. Perfect for pizza night! Ingredients:
For the Pizza:
1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
1½ cups cooked, shredded chicken breast (rotisserie chicken works great)
¼ cup diced red onion
¾ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
For the White Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
8 cloves roasted garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup skim milk
¼ cup half and half
¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
For Topping:
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
½ tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Instructions:
Prep the Oven:
Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
If using a baking sheet, lightly grease it and sprinkle with cornmeal for a crispier crust.
For a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating. Make the White Sauce:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced roasted garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the flour, cooking for 1 minute until it forms a smooth paste (roux).
Gradually whisk in the milk and half and half, stirring constantly.
Add black pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Assemble the Pizza:
Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle (thinner for crispier crust).
Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread the white garlic sauce evenly over the dough.
Top with shredded chicken, diced red onion, and shredded Mozzarella cheese. Bake:
Bake for 15-17 minutes (12-15 minutes for a pizza stone) until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Finish with Herbs:
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with fresh thyme, dried oregano, and fresh parsley. Serve:
