Delicious Date Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250g soft dates (pitted and quartered)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- 1/3 cup (80g) sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) oil ️
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup (90g) flour
- 1 tsp baking powder ✨
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Walnuts or almonds (for decoration)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Dates:
Heat 1/4 cup warm milk and add pitted, chopped dates.
Soak on medium flame for 20-25 minutes until softened.
2️⃣ Blend the Mixture:
Blend sugar and oil until smooth.
Add the soaked dates with milk and blend for 2 minutes.
3️⃣ Add the Eggs:
Blend in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed.
4️⃣ Prepare the Batter:
Pour the mixture into a bowl.
Sift flour and baking powder, then fold into the date mixture.
Add vanilla extract and mix gently.
5️⃣ Prepare the Pan:
Grease a baking pan, line with butter paper, and pour in the batter.
Decorate with walnuts or almonds.
6️⃣ Bake:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake for 20-25 minutes (or 25-30 minutes on low flame in a heavy-bottomed pan with a trivet).
7️⃣ Cool & Serve:
