Crispy Cheddar Chicken
Juicy chicken coated in crushed crackers and sharp cheddar, baked until golden and crispy. It’s rich, satisfying, and a guaranteed family favorite.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (sharp works best)
1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 30 crackers), crushed
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
½ cup milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prep coating: Place crushed crackers in one bowl. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and paprika. Put milk in a second bowl, and shredded cheddar in a third.
Coat chicken: Dip each chicken breast in milk, then cheese (pressing to stick), then cracker crumbs. Place in baking dish.
Top with butter: Drizzle melted butter over the coated chicken.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10–15 more minutes until chicken is golden and cooked through.
Serve: Garnish with parsley. Great with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
