Creamy Lemon Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
Directions:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving.
