Chocolate Strawberry Milkshake
This rich and creamy Double Chocolate Strawberry Milkshake is a delicious and indulgent treat. The combination of chocolate and strawberry is a classic for a reason, and this recipe elevates it with a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup and fresh strawberries for garnish.
Yields: 2 servings
Prep time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup, plus more for drizzling
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, plus 2-4 for garnish
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Equipment:
- Blender
- 2 tall glasses
- 2 straws (optional, but recommended for that classic milkshake look)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Glasses: Before you start, drizzle the inside of your two tall glasses with chocolate syrup. Rotate the glass as you drizzle to create an appealing, swirling pattern down the sides. Place the glasses in the freezer for a few minutes to set the syrup while you prepare the milkshake.
- Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, chocolate syrup, 1/2 cup strawberries, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract.
- Blend: Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the milkshake is too thick, you can add a tablespoon or two of milk at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour and Garnish: Remove the prepared glasses from the freezer. Carefully pour the milkshake mixture into each glass.
- Garnish: Make a small slit in the bottom of the remaining fresh strawberries and slide one or two onto the rim of each glass. Insert a straw into each milkshake.
- Serve Immediately: Serve your delicious Double Chocolate Strawberry Milkshakes immediately and enjoy!
