CHICKEN PARMESAN GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
Ingredients CHICKEN PARMESAN GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH :
- ➡️ 2 slices of bread (any kind will do, although sourdough is a good option)
- ➡️ 1 cup cooked chicken breast, sliced or chopped
- Two tablespoons of olive oil or butter;
- half a teaspoon of dried basil (optional)
- ; half a teaspoon of garlic powder (optional);
- and half a cup of marinara sauce
Guidelines
1. Get the chicken ready: •Cook, slice, or shred the chicken breasts if you haven’t previously. You can prepare them fresh or use leftovers. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning.
2. Put the Sandwich Together: • On one side of each slice of bread, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce.
One slice of bread should have the shredded chicken layered on top of the sauce.
• Drizzle the chicken with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
• For added taste, you can optionally sprinkle garlic powder and dried basil over the cheese. • Place the remaining bread slice on top, sauce side down.
3. Prepare the Sandwiches: • Melt a tablespoon of butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. If you want a crispier crust, feel free to use extra.
• Put the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown. For even toasting, use a torch to gently press down.
4. To serve, take out of the skillet and give it a minute to cool before slicing. Warm up the food.
