Ingredients
– 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
– 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers (any color)
– 2 cloves garlic (minced)
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 large egg (beaten)
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the cooked and shredded chicken, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, chopped bell peppers, and minced garlic.
Add the paprika, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball (about the size of a golf ball). Repeat with the remaining mixture to form more balls.
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with the beaten egg, one with the all-purpose flour, and one with the breadcrumbs.
Dip each chicken cheese ball first into the flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Ensure each ball is evenly coated.
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. There should be enough oil to submerge the balls.
Fry the chicken cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve the Chicken Cheese Balls hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or sweet chili sauce.
