Cheesy Zucchini Sticks That’ll Make You Forget Breadsticks Ever Existed
Ingredients:
2 medium zucchinis, cut into sticks
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2–3 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray for baking
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Directions:
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coat zucchini sticks first in flour, then dip in eggs, and finally coat with the panko mixture. Press gently to adhere.
Place coated zucchini sticks on the baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil or spray with cooking spray.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
