Cheesy Baked Tennessee Onions
Sweet onion rounds baked in a rich blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and butter—golden, gooey, and totally irresistible. Southern comfort food at its cheesiest!
Ingredients
3 large sweet onions, peeled and sliced into thick rings
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Layer onion slices in a greased baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Drizzle melted butter over onions.
Sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the top.
Bake uncovered for 30–35 mins until onions are tender and cheese is golden.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
