Char Siu Chicken

Ingredients:
300 grams Chicken Thigh (fatty cuts recommended) 1f357
Marinade:
1 tbsp Honey 1f36f
1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce 1f962
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce 1f30a
1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce (or Kecap Manis) 1f376
2 tbsps Brown Sugar 1f36c
2 cloves Garlic, pureed or grated 1f9c4
1 inch Ginger, pureed or grated 1f331
1 tsp Chinese Five Spice powder 1f9c2
Pinch of White Pepper ️
1 tsp Red Food Coloring (optional) 1f3a8
Directions:
Prepare the Marinade:

Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl or ziplock bag. 1f372
Marinate the Chicken:

Add the chicken and coat well. Let it marinate for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight in the fridge for best flavor infusion. 1f553
Bring to Room Temp & Preheat Oven:

Remove chicken from the fridge, letting it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). 1f525
