Ingredients:
2 large ripe bananas, sliced lengthwise or into thick rounds
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter. Allow it to melt completely.
Sprinkle brown sugar evenly into the melted butter and stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble.
Add the banana slices to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring to allow them to caramelize.
Flip the bananas gently using a spatula and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden and caramelized.
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon if desired.
Serve immediately as a topping for pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or enjoy on its own!
