Cabbage and Minced Meat Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 small cabbage, chopped into small pieces
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon powdered broth seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Directions:
1. Get the ground beef cooked.
The ground beef should be cooked over medium heat in a large skillet or cast-iron pan. As the beef cooks until it is completely browned, split it up with a wooden spoon.
2. Add the garlic and onions to the skillet.
Move the cooked ground beef to one side of the pan. Put a small amount of oil in the pan and cook the chopped garlic and onions for two to three minutes, or until they are transparent and fragrant.
3. Add Spices and Tomatoes:
Add the diced tomatoes and their liquid. Add the salt, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, and broth seasoning. After thoroughly mixing everything, bring the mixture to a simmer.
4. Simmer the Meat and Tomato Mixture:
Lower the heat to medium and cook the mixture for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
5. Incorporate the Cabbage:
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir it into the beef and tomato mixture. Continue cooking for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
6. Serve:
Serve the dish hot and enjoy its bold and savory flavors.
