Buttermilk Sweet Alabama Pecanbread 



Ingredients:
– 2 cups pecans, finely chopped 

– 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour 

– 1 cup granulated sugar 

– 1 cup brown sugar 

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil 

– 1/2 cup buttermilk 

– 4 large eggs, beaten 

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

– 1/4 teaspoon salt 

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray
.

2. In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vegetable oil, and buttermilk until smooth
.

3. Gradually mix in the self-rising flour and salt, stirring just until combined
.

4. Add vanilla extract and gently fold in the chopped pecans
.

5. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly
.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few crumbs
.

7. Let the Pecanbread cool in the dish for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving
.
