  • Ribs with Honey Garlic

    Ribs with Honey Garlic

I’d like to introduce you to my new favorite rib recipe: honey garlic ribs. Who doesn’t enjoy a wonderful recipe for mouthwateringly scrumptious ribs? Meat so tender it falls off the bone, covered in a sticky, sweet sauce.
    Only eight components.
Meat that is perfectly soft, supple, and flavorful.
Made so easily—the majority of the labor is done in the oven.
Ideal for a game day meal or to share with guests.
I adore ribs, and while I still prefer them that way—grilled and covered in gravy—I thought I would try something different and marinate them in a sticky honey garlic marinade. The oven is used to slowly roast the ribs, which results in very soft and juicy meat.
Serve these sticky honey ribs as an appetizer or as part of a shareable finger food feast, but they also work well as a main dish with some potatoes or roasties. Although the glaze that covers and adheres to the ribs may cause sticky fingers, it is just enticing. You can eat them with silverware since the flesh really falls off the bone so effortlessly. component
Four pounds of spareribs made of pork
    Half a cup of honey
Half a cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup of pure white vinegar
    Two tsp of brown sugar
    two minced garlic cloves
    One tsp baking soda
One tsp of salt with garlic
    Guidelines
Set the oven’s temperature to 375°F, or 190°C.
Cut ribs into separate halves. In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and garlic. whisk until sugar and honey are well dissolved, and then whisk in baking soda. The mixture is going to start foaming. After transferring the ribs to the dish, coat them.
Place the ribs on a prepared cookie sheet, meat side up, after covering it with foil. Drizzle more sauce over the ribs and season with garlic powder.
Bake, rotating every 20 minutes, for one hour in a preheated oven.
    Have fun

Explore the comforting flavors of “Homestyle Favorite: Baked Chicken Legs,” a simple yet delicious dish that’s perfect for a family dinner. This recipe features chicken legs seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices, then baked to golden, juicy perfection. Baked chicken legs are not only economical but also a hit with all ages, making them an ideal choice for both weeknight meals and casual gatherings. They offer a fantastic way to enjoy a high-protein, flavorful meal with minimal prep and cleanup.

Why You’ll Love Baked Chicken Legs:

    • Flavorful and Juicy: The dark meat of chicken legs remains moist and tender during baking, providing a rich flavor that’s enhanced by the spices.
    • Easy and Convenient: With a simple seasoning and oven baking, this dish requires little hands-on time.
    • Versatile: Easily adaptable with various seasonings to match any cuisine style.
    • Family-Friendly: A guaranteed hit with both kids and adults, perfect for any day of the week.

Ingredients Notes For Baked Chicken Legs:

    • Chicken Legs: This recipe uses whole legs, which include the thigh and drumstick, but you can use separate parts if preferred.
    • Olive Oil: Helps the seasoning stick to the chicken and promotes a crispy skin.
    • Garlic Powder, Paprika, and Onion Powder: Provide a robust flavor base that complements the natural taste of the chicken.
    • Salt and Black Pepper: Essential for enhancing all the flavors.
    • Optional Herbs and Spices: Add dried thyme, rosemary, or a touch of cayenne pepper for extra depth and a hint of heat.

    Recipe Steps:

    1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C), which allows the chicken legs to crisp up nicely on the outside while staying juicy inside.
    2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels to ensure the skin gets crispy. Place them in a large bowl or directly on a baking tray.
    3. Season: Drizzle olive oil over the chicken legs and sprinkle them with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add any additional herbs or spices as desired. Rub the seasoning all over the chicken to coat evenly.
    4. Arrange for Baking: Place the seasoned chicken legs on a wire rack in a baking tray lined with foil (for easier cleanup). The rack helps air circulate around the chicken, cooking it evenly and helping the skin become crispy.
    5. Bake: Transfer the tray to the oven and bake for about 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken skin is crispy and a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 165°F (74°C).
    6. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken legs rest for a few minutes after baking to redistribute the juices. Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables, a salad, or mashed potatoes.

    Storage Options:

    • Refrigerate: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
    • Reheat: Reheat in the oven or microwave until hot. The oven is best for keeping the skin crispy.

  • Cream Cheese Ranch Rollups

    Cream Cheese Ranch Rollups

Cream Cheese Ranch Rollups are the easiest and most popular appetizer you could ever make. Rich cream cheese, ranch dressing mix and veggies all rolled into tortillas – these will disappear in a flash at any party!
Cream Cheese Ranch Rollups are a true Midwestern gift.
The recipe originates from my grandmother. When she gave the recipe to my mother, she said, “This is an appetizer that everyone loves.” Men, women, kids…everyone loves these.”
    And she was right.
I have lost count of how many times I have made these over the years. Any time there is a gathering that we need to take food to, I almost always end up making a batch of these. Sometimes I really go whole-hog and make a double batch.
Why make twice as many ranch rollups? Because one batch will disappear almost as fast as you can slice them. I promise you that I am not exaggerating.
If you are from the Midwest, you are probably already familiar with the “pinwheel” concept. Pinwheels – tortillas rolled around some kind of filling, usually of the meat and cheese variety – are a party staple in this part of the country. You can’t throw a proper party around here without pinwheels making an appearance.
Cream Cheese Ranch Rollups are like pinwheels taken to a whole other level.

    Ingredients

2 packages of Philadelphia cream cheese (8 oz) 1 can chopped black olives – however small or large you like. I used the smaller can. 2 cans diced green chilies – small can Azteca tortilla wraps

    Instructions

Let your cream cheese get to room temperature then mix all of your ingredients together (minus the tortillas). Lay your tortillas out and spread a decent amount of cream cheese mixture in them. The more you do the more you’ll get a hang of how much is going to fit in whatever size tortilla you’re using. Roll them up as tightly as you can, some filling will most likely come out. Repeat; Once you have all of your tortillas filled and rolled, wrap them in parchment paper and put them in the fridge for several hours or overnight. Once they’ve chilled you’ll start slicing them into bite size…well, bites. I usually just cut the ends off since the filling doesn’t reach the ends perfectly

    Ingredients

    • Chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • Eggs
    • Flour
    • Parmesan cheese
    • Mozzarella cheese
    • Garlic, minced
    • Assorted seasonings

    Preparation

    1. Prep the Chicken: Begin by cutting the chicken into exceptionally small pieces, ensuring that they are bite-sized for a delightful eating experience. Place the chicken pieces in a bowl.
    2. Mix the Ingredients: In the same bowl, add eggs, flour, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, and a selection of your favorite seasonings. Using a spoon, meticulously mix the ingredients until they form a cohesive and well-combined mixture.
    3. Heat the Pan: Heat a large frying pan over medium to low heat. Add a modest amount of oil to the pan, ensuring it is evenly distributed. Consider using cooking spray to prevent the fritters from sticking, as the recipe uses minimal oil.
    4. Cook the Fritters: Once the pan is sufficiently heated, spoon approximately ¼ cup of the chicken mixture per fritter into the pan. Be mindful not to overcrowd the pan to allow for even cooking. A suggestion is to cook three fritters at a time. Cook the fritters for about 10 minutes each, turning them a few times to achieve a golden-brown perfection. It is crucial to maintain the cooking temperature at a moderate level to ensure the fritters cook evenly, avoiding the risk of being overly cooked on the outside and undercooked inside.
    5. Storage: Once cooked, these delectable fritters can be stored in the refrigerator and freeze exceptionally well, making them a convenient and time-saving option for future meals.

Tips for the Best Ever Beef Stew

Choose the Right Cut of Beef

For the best results, use beef chuck or a similar cut that becomes tender and flavorful when cooked slowly.

    Searing the Beef

Browning the beef before simmering adds depth and richness to the stew. Make sure to brown the beef in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.

    Low and Slow Cooking

Simmering the stew on low heat allows the flavors to meld together and the beef to become tender. Patience is key to achieving the best texture and taste.

    Adjusting Consistency

If you prefer a thicker stew, use the flour slurry method mentioned above. For a thinner consistency, you can add a bit more beef broth.

    Variations to Try

    Adding Different Vegetables

Feel free to add other vegetables like parsnips, turnips, or green beans to the stew for additional flavor and nutrition.

    Using Different Herbs

Experiment with different herbs such as oregano, marjoram, or basil to customize the flavor profile of your stew.

    Gluten-Free Option

To make this stew gluten-free, omit the flour or use a gluten-free flour blend for thickening.

    Wine-Free Version

If you prefer not to use wine, you can replace it with an equal amount of beef broth.
