Delicious, soft, slightly sweet, it’s the perfect loaf!

    Ingredients

    Ingredients ( 12 Servings )

    • 2 cup All-purpose Flour

    • 1 cup Granulated Sugar

    • 2 tsp Baking Powder

    • ½ tsp Baking Soda

    • 1 ½ tsp Cinnamon, Ground

    • 1 tsp Salt

    • 1 cup Buttermilk

    • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil

    • 2 Large Eggs

    • 2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

    Ingredients for the Swirl:

    • 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar

    • 1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground

    • 2 tsp Unsalted Butter, Melted

    Preparation

    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan.

    • Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, buttermilk. oil, eggs, and vanilla

    • In a large mixing bowl. With an electric mixer, beat the ingredients for 3 minutes.

    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use an offset spatula to smooth the top of the batter. Set aside.

    • Add sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle topping on the top of the loaf of bread.

    • Use a knife cut in a light swirling motion for a marbled effect.

    • Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Test the center of the loaf of bread by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, remove it from the oven to cool.

    • Set it aside for a few minutes to cool before slicing.

    The No Name Dip – Alright so the other day I told you I would give you the recipe for the dip that I made for trivia night. According to Nick this dip has “no name”. So I have dubbed it the “no name dip”. Original, I know. This dip is super easy and cheap to make. It seriously only contains four

    What you need:

    16 oz sour cream (I know the one in the picture is two 8oz but that’s because the store I went to didn’t have the 16oz of the kind I like)

    Real bacon bits. Make sure they are real. I used fake ones one time and it was the WORST thing I have ever tasted.

    Shredded cheese. I prefer cheddar jack but I’m sure whatever kind you want to add would work.

    A dry ranch packet. They make different flavored ones but I would go with the original.

    How To Make The No Name Dip:

    Just mix all of that together and viola, your dip is done. It looks kind of like throw up but I promise it’s amazing. What I do is add the sour cream and then mix in the ranch. After mixing those together I add in the bacon bits and stir. And after all of that is stirred together I mix in the entire thing of cheese.

    Eat with whatever kind of crackers or chips you would like. And try not to eat the entire thing in one sitting. Which I would do if Nick wouldn’t make fun of me. Good thing I don’t live on my own or I would only eat this dip, ice cream, and cookies. Whatev.

    One of my favorite comfort meals is this chicken hashbrown casserole. How luscious and rich it tastes. The crispy topping is quite delicious, too! This won’t take you long at all to put together. Even on hectic evenings, this dish works like a charm.

    In our household, this chicken hashbrown casserole is a mainstay when it comes to supper. Utilizing a rotisserie chicken expedites the process even more! My family raves about this dish time and time again because of how creamy and flavorful it is.
    In addition, it is one of my go-to dishes for when we have guests around. Having friends and family over doesn’t need going all out. 

    Recipe Items
    Flourless hashbrowns made in the South, 2 pounds
    Two cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
    carrots and peas, frozen, one cup
    2 cups of sour cream
    half a cup. Draining canned corn
    One (1) can The chicken with cream
    Section 3C. Pulled chicken breast
    cup of milk
    Part 2 C. Cereal grains
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired.
    Chicken Casserole with Hashbrowns: The Recipe
    Get the oven hot, about 400 degrees.
    Place the hashbrowns in a 9×13 baking dish.
    In a large basin, mix together all the other ingredients except the breadcrumbs until well incorporated.
    Arrange the hashbrowns on a bed of the mixture.
    After an hour in the oven, sprinkle the  over the dish.

    • slices bacon finely chopped
    • 3 lbs. boneless beef chuck cut to 1 inch cubes
    • 1 cup red cooking wine
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
    • 2 Tablespoons thyme finely chopped
    • 5 medium Carrots sliced
    • 1 pound baby potatoes I used tri color
    • 8 ounce fresh mushrooms sliced
    • fresh chopped parsley for garnish

    Instructions:

    In a large skillet cook bacon over medium high heat until crisp. Put bacon in slow cooker. Salt and pepper the beef and add to the skillet and sear on each side for 2-3 minutes. Transfer beef to the slow cooker.

    Add the red wine to the skillet scraping down the brown bits on the side. Allow it to simmer and reduce and slowly add chicken broth, and tomato sauce, and soy sauce. Slowly whisk in the flour. Add the sauce to the slow cooker.

    Add garlic, thyme, carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms to the slow cooker. Give it a good stir and cook on low until beef is tender for 8-10 hours or high for 6-Garnish with fresh parley and serve with mashed potatoes if desired.
